Bar Mitzvah of their son, Rob-
ert Phillip, on Saturday, at Tem-
ple Beth El, Open house in his
honor will be held from 8 to 11
p.m., that evening, in the family
home.

Tobye Davidson . became the
bride of Ronald Kaminsky in a
ceremony performed June 19 by
Rabbi Morris Adler, at Cong.
Shaarey Zedek. The bride is the
daughter - of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph
M. Davidson, of Coyle Ave. The
bridegroom's parents are Mr. and
Mrs. Philip -Kaminsky, of To-
ledo, 0.
The. bride chose a gown of
pure silk crystalette in a shade
of ivory pearl. The bodice was
highlighted by a shirred neck-
line and short sleeves. The waist
was slightly elongated, tapering
into a softly shirred skirt of four
tiers. Her Juliet cap was' of ivory
lace banded by small ivory
pearls, and held in place a fin-
gertip veil of ivory tulle. She
carried two white orchids on a
Bible.
Gloria Schall, the bridegroom's
cousin from Toledo, • was maid
of honor, and Mrs. George Wein-
garden, sister of the bride, was
matron of honor. Bridesmaids
were Denny Munson, Mrs. Irv-
ing Winston, the bride's sister,
and Mrs. Donald Davidson, her
sister-in-law. Donna and Lau-
ren Weingarden, the bride's
nieces, were junior bridesmaids.
Gerald. Kaminsky, the bride-
groom's brother, was his best
man, a n d ushers included
Charles Kaminsky, his cousin
from Toledo, George Weingarden
and Irving Winston, brothers-in-
law of the bride, and Donald Da-
vidson, her brother..
Following dinner and a recep-
tion, the couple left for a honey-
moon in New York and Bermu-
da, after which they will reside
in Ann Arbor.

Joan Hannah Gruskin and
Melvin David Volin exchanged
nuptial vows in a ceremony that
was solemnized on June 5, at
Cong. Bnai David. Rabbi Hayim
Donin and Cantor Hyman Adler
officiated.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Isadore Gruskin, of
Greenlawn Ave., and the bride-
groom's parents are Mr. and Mrs.
Sol Volin, of Cortland Ave.
The new Mrs. Volin Chose an
imported Italian silk gown, with
bodice finely tucked with em-
broidered flowers that extended
up and around the drop-should-
er neckline.
The skirt fell into a chapel
train. She wore a two-tiered veil
of fingertip length, which was
caught to her head by a Queen
Ann cap covered in matching
silk and trimmed with the same
embroidered flowers of the gown.
She carried a bouquet of white
Madonna Mlles.
Serving as maid of honor was
'Elaine Volin, sister of the bride-
' groom, and bridesmaids were
Janice Shapiro, of Philadelphia,
Harriet Novak, Ellen Averbuck
and Mrs. Albert Valensky.
Myron Gruskin, brother of the
bride, was best man, while the
bridegroom's other attendants
were Mel Richter, Al Rosenberg,
Richard Karson and Albert Va-
lensky. Seating the guests was
Irving Novak.
Following dinner and a recep-
tion, the newlyweds left for a
honeymoon in Miami Beath. On
their return, they will take up
residence in Oak Park.

Plan Birthday Party
For Home Residents

Residents of the Home for
Aged whose birthdays fall in
June will be feted at the month-
ly birthday party, to be held at
2 p.m., Wednesday. Special en-
tertainment will be provided
through the courtesy of the
Auntie Dee television show.
Entertainers include David
Koviak, accordianist; Joe-Joe
and Sharon Shutty, baton twirl-
ers; and. Barbara Bragman, who
will sing and recite • Yiddish
songs and stories. Mrs. Beverly
Benaim will be mistress of cere-
monies.
Rabbi David S. Bakst will con-
duct special classes for residents
during the summer months in
Bible, Talmud and Prophets.
Classes- will be taught on Wed-
nesday and Sunday evenings
and Saturday afternoon.
The daily recreation and oc-
cupational therapy programs
will continue throughout the
summer months.

July 4 Holiday Means Early Deadline

Because the July 4 holiday occurs on a Monday, our
customary 12 noon Monday deadline will be advanced for
the issue of July 8, to 4 p. m., Friday, July 1.
Our advertising deadlines will remain unchanged: 12
noon, Tuesday, July 5, for display advertising; 4 p. m.,
Tuesday, July 5, for display classified advertising; and 11
a. m., Wednesday, July 6, for liner ,classified, advertising.

At a gathering of family,
friends and co-workers, held in
the Chesed shel Emes Building,
pictures of two late presidents
of the Hebrew Benevolent So-
ciety, Sam Oleshansky and Mor-
ris Fisher, were unveiled to be
placed in the lobby of the
Chapel.
In the absence of Davi(' Rich-
man, president Nathan Wolok,
vice-president, was chairman.
Sam Nelson, honorary presi-
dent, and Harry E. Citrin, past
president, outlined the work of
the two men whose memory was
being honored. The pictures were
unveiled by members of the
Fisher and Oleshansky families.
Cantor Hyman Adler chanted
appropriate selections. The un-
veiling ceremony was followed
by a "Melavah Malke," at which
Rabbi Leizer Levin was guest
speaker. Certificates for gardens
of trees of 125 each planted in
Israel, and purchased by officers
