Bond Organization, at Temple

resumed the -chairmanship of
the local committee.
Fred Mincer, who was pre-
sented as the new director of the
local bond office, outlined plans
for Detroit bond drives under
the national management of the
new _.Development Corporation
for Israel.
David Safran presided at the
meeting. Pledges of. support to
the bond drive were made by
Isidore Sobeloff, executive di-
rector of the Jewish Welfare
Federation, who addressed the
meeting, and Samuel H. Rubiver,
the retired president of the Fed-
eration, who sent a long mes-
sage in which he endorsed the
objectives of the boric' drive.
Mr. Stollman, in his address
in which he reiterated his readi-
ness again to serve as bond
chairman, urged that the first -
efforts sho'uld be to collect out-
standing- pledges for bond pur-
chases made in the last three
months. Mrs. Irma Katchke,
chairman of the women's divi-
sion, similarly called for renew-
ed bond efforts.
Plans were made for a public
function, at which it is expected
that the- new executive vice-
president of the national bond
organization, Dr. Joseph J.
Schwartz,, will be guest speaker.
