Mr. and Mrs. Joseph M. Lefkofsky, Of Huntington Road, Hunt-
ington Woods, are sojourning in New York City.
Mr. and Mrs. James Rachieff, formerly of Pasadena Ave., are
now residing in their new home at 22181 Harding, Oak Park, Mich.
On Thursday evening, Charles E. Feinberg, eminent Detroit
collector of Walt Whitman items, was the guest speaker at the
Brooklyn Public Librray, at a special program, "Whitman and
Brooklyn," marking the Leaves of Grass Centennial Exhibit.
Private Ronald Karp, son of Mrs. Nettie Karp, 20010 Black-
stone, Detroit, has completed the Medical Training Center's eight-
week course of advanced basic training at Brooke Army Medical
Center, according to information from Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
A surprise 50th wedding anniversary party was recently given.

and Mrs. Charles Kaufman, of 18240 Woodingham Dr. .
Mr. and Mrs. David Schoichet, of Snowden Ave., have re-
turned home following a two-month visit to Europe and Israel.
Mrs. use D'Polski of Lawrence Ave., will leave for Europe next
Wednesday aboard the Castel Felice.
Rabbi and Mrs. Chaim J. Weingarten, of London, England, an-
nounce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Chaye Mindel
Levin, to Rabbi Yeshie Zav Meisels, son of Rabbi and Mrs. Chaim
Meisels, of Detroit, at 7 p.m., June 22, at Cong. Beth Shmuel. Out-
of-town guests will attend from Chicago, New York and Milwaukee.
Rabbi Chaim Meisels is spiritual leader of Cong. Khal Charedim.
His son was recently ordained in New York.
Dr. and Mrs. Louis Gross, of 19620 Renfrew, honored their son,
Robert Lewis, with a dinner party at Rainbow Terrace, honoring
his graduation from the Jewish Parents Institute.
Dr. Richard C. Hertz, of Temple Beth El, delivered the invoca-
tion at commencement exercises of the Detroit Institute of Tech-
nology on Monday evening, at Masonic Temple. Among the De-
troit graduates were Leonard Applebaum, Burton Davis, Raymond
Dubrinsky, Sheldon Freedman, Harold Gold, Hyman .Pilchik and
Sheldon Willens, pharmacy; Benjamin Bormeinsky, Martin Hol-
lander, Abba Shapiro, Harmon Tron and Milton Zucker, account-
ing; and Joseph Jordan and Robert Kanter, engineering.

In a candlelight ceremony ,on
May 29, in the Sheraton Cadil-
lac Hotel, Sharron Lynn Stern,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold
Stern, of Santa Barbara Dr., was
united in marriage to Sherwood
Colburn, son of Mrs. Esther Col-
burn and the late Mr. Harry
Colburn.
The bride chose a gown of
princess lines, with a bodice of
duchess lace, full, waltz-length
skirt of ivory silk chiffon and a
contour belt of de lustre satin.
Her two-tiered veil of silk illu-
sion was caught to her head by
a fitted cap of matching lace.
Mrs. Yale Levin was matron of
honor, and Rena Stern was jun-
ior bridesmaid. Leslie Colbutn
was his brother's best man, and
ushers were Alan Colburn, Mer-
ton Colburn, Ronald Stern, 'Ar-
nold Levin, . Dr. Sherwin Lutz
and Ralph Sheplow.
The newlyweds left for a
honeymoon in Miami and Cuba.
