'55 THE NEEDS

ARE GREAT-ARE

.

-

WE?

We have worked, we have given, we have built, we have. ac-
Complished 'wonders. We cannot now afford to be compla-
cent. We cannot risk watching our achievements crumble
away, bit by bit. We cannot be indifferent to those ! whose
needs we have not yet .met. They need our help to find seCur-
ity, freedom, health, dignity.

The tremendOus worldwide responsibilities we face in 1955
demand the best in us—and of us. Hundreds of thousands of
people—and the beneficiary agencies which help them
through our support—are linked with us in a partnership
of human need and compassion.
f

what we must do Mil at Horne and Overseas

Now- we must help Israel to : •transport 30,000 Jews froin •
tension areas in North Africa . . . irrigate 45,000 additional
acres of land and establish new settlements—to give willing
hands the chance to work and build. All told, in Israel,
Moslem areas, Europe and elsewhere we must continue to
provide medical care, food, shelter, education and other aid
for 472,000 people.

In our own country and community we must : help our own
youngsters learn the wisdom of their Jewish heritage, build
strong bodies and wholesome, healthy personalities . .. give
our aged the security and happiness they need and deserve
. . . strengthen our families . . . build better intergroup
understanding with our neighbors . . . provide religious and
welfare services to our Jewish youth in the armed forces.

let's ago it together"!

Lift your gift—higher than ever before. Make - sure it's the
biggest because it has so many jobs to do—at home and
overseas.

Before you sign your pledge, ask yourself : Is this gift my
fair share toward helping all the agencies in our united cam-
paign to help all the people who need it?" Then, lift your
gift to be sure.
