Mr. Morrey Shepherd and daughter, Lorraine, of 19767 Sor-
rento: have returned from a three-week visit with relatives and
friends in Los Angeles and Beverly Hills, Calif.
Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Kaminsky and children, formerly of
Cortland Ave., are now residing at 23431 Harriet Ct., Oak Park,
Mich.
Mr. and Mrs. Zelig Landy and family, formerly of W. Grand
Ave., are now in their new home at 23441 Harriet Ct., Oak Park,
Mich.
Mr. and Mrs. Ben Sussman and daughter, Adrienne, are now
residing in their new at 19490 Robson.
Mrs. Rose Mash will present her pupils in a piano recital at 8
p.m., Tuesday, at McGregor Library. Several two piano and eight-
hand numbers will be included on the program. The public is in-
vited.
Mr. and Mrs. Irving Eisenman 'and son, Harold, formerly of
Glynn Ct., are now residing in their•new home at 4005 West Outer
Dr. Recent guests of the Eisenmans were their daughter, Rosalyn,
and her husband, Edward Horwitz, and their children, Wendy and
Jacalyn, of Utica, N. Y.
Mrs. Lou Rubinoff left recently for Israel aboard the SS United
States to visit with her son, daughter-in-law and grandson. Prior
to her departure, she was entertained by her sister, Mrs. Harry
Meer, and *Mrs. Sally Elkowitz.
Pvt. and Mrs. Carmi M Slomovitz have returned to Yuma,
Ariz., where Pvt. Slomovitz is stationed with the U. S. Army, after
a. three-week visit here with their families.
Mr. and Mrs. Herman H. Stark, of 19169 Ilene, sailed April 9
on the .steamship United States for an extended trip to Europe.
Mrs. Pauline Max has returned to Miami Beach after a two-
week visit here with her family.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Gandal, of Cleveland, were the week-end
guests of their children, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Berch, of LaSalle Blvd.
Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Pritz and their children, Mr. and Mrs.
Thomas Nessel, returned from a vacation in Miami Beach.
Mrs. Dora Ehrlich, of the Belcrest Hotel, and Mrs. Rose Cooper,
of Whitmore Rd., will leave on Wednesday aboard HMS Queen
Elizabeth for Cherbourg. Following stops in Paris, the French and
Italian Rivieras, Rome and Capri, Mrs. Ehrlich and -Mrs. Cooper
will fly to Israel late in May, returning home July 5, aboard the
HMS Queen Mary.
Miss Eva Tennenbaum, of Glendale Ave., has returned to
classes at New York City College, following a vacation home with
his parents. She also was the guest of Mrs. Rae Urnovitz, of Mon-
terey Ave.

Torah Fund Tea Set

Beth Aaron Sisterhood has
completed plans for a Special
Gifts Tea in honor of its Torah
fund project, to be held at 12:30
p.m., May 9, in the synagogue
social hall.
Admission to the tea is a con-
tribution to the Torah fund
project, proceeds of which go to
the Jewish Theological Seminary
of America.
The tea is open to members
and friends, and is sponsored by
the Torah fund committee, of
which Mrs.. Sol Docks is chair-
man and Mrs. Milton Harris,
co-chairman.
Ifostesses for the afternoon
will be Mesdames Albert Kanfer,
Morris Kirschner, Morris Kosak,
Sol Raikow, Jack Shenkman,
Ben Wasserman and Sidney
Weinberg. Program Chairman is
Mrs. Albert Kaplan.

Folk Schools Accepts
Registrations for Fall

The United Jewish Folk
Schools, the official school oper-
ated by the Labor Zionist Move-
ment in Detroit, has opened reg-
istration for the fall. semester.
All classes will be conducted in
the new Labor Zionist Bldg., be-
ing constructed on Schaefer and
Seven Mile Road.
Officials this week stated that
an enthusiastic response has
greeted its recent mailing of
applications to members of Pio-
neer Women and branches of
Poale Zion and Farband.
A kindergarten for youngsters
4 and 5 and elementary classes
for students 6 to 13 are now be-
ing organized. Parents in the
Northwest area, Oak Park sec-
tion and other local areas are
urged to register their children
soon. Transportation is arrang-
ed.
