national leadership meetings.
In the years of creation and
consolidation, it was Henry Men-
tor who directed drives for Israel
and refugee Jewry which netted
approximately $100,000,000 in
1946; $125,000,000 in 1947; $150,-
000,000 in 1948; $130,000,000 in

1949; and $115,000,00 in 1950
through UJA.
Since 1951 more than $165,000,-
000 was raised through the sale
of Israel Bonds in free nations
throughout the world. Henry
Montor conceived, guided and
inspired that sale.
