Come to The Famous

TEL AVIV, (JTA)—Thousands
of Romanian Jewish youths will
be allowed to immigrate to Israel
soon in a move by the Romanian
government to permit the re-
unification of families now sep-
arated, Moshe Kol, director of
the Youth Aliyah movement, told
a press conference.
Kol also expressed hope that
the Polish and Hungarian gov-
ernments would soon permit
Jewish orphans to come to Is-
rael. He noted, however, that
this "encouraging news" would
find the Youth Aliyah not com-
pletely prepared, because of a
shortage of funds.

THESE ARE' TRYING TIMES for the family pay-
check, and the lady of the house has a man's job
when it comes to balancing her budget.
She has a friend and helper in the truck, how-
ever, for, although she may not realize it, motor
transport helps keep the cost of living • down by
cutting transportation costs.
The average family spends more for transporta-
tion than for any other item save food. So it is clear
that the ability of trucks to increase the efficiency
of moving goods of all kinds results in substantial
savings to the conumer.
The thing we have to guard against is allowing
politicians to increase taxes on trucks beyond the
more than fair share they're already paying, for, you
see, every tax increase on trucks actually corns right
out of the people's pocketbooks in increased prices
for everything they buy.
