planning its third annual Moth-
er and Daughter Banquet for
May 9, at Rainbow Terrace. The
dramatic group will be featured
in a play, "I Remeinber Mama."

gram. All paid-up members and
their families are invited, states

Monologist to Appear
For Beth El Women

Mary Hutchinson, New York
dramatic monologist, will appear
as guest artist at a program
sponsored by the Sisterhood of
Temple Beth El at 12:30 p. m.,
Monday, in the Brown Memorial
Chapel. Dessert luncheon will be
served.
Miss Hutchinson, a singer,
dancer a n d actress, presents
what is known as a one-woman
shoW, in which she portrays the
heroines in a number of sketches,
from Shakespeare to a Smoky
Mountain girl.
A graduate of the New York
School of the Theater and the
John Murray Anderson School,
she has appeared in numerous
Broadway productions including
"Castles in the Air," "The Vani-
ties," "Lady Be Good," "The Yel-
low Jacket" and others.
Her thumbnail theater, as it is
called, has toured through 44
states and in Canada. Her New
York debut was made two years
ago at Times Hall, and she made
a repeat performance there last
year which critics called equally
successful.

Third Seder, Passover
Programs at the WC

Tonight, the Women's Division
of Workmen's Circle will sponsor
a Third Seder at the WC Center.
Children of the WC Schools will
read from a modern Haggadah,
and the audience will participate.
Saul Maltz, director of the WC
Schools, announces that a grad-
uation will be part of the pro-
gram.
Sunday, 10 a. m., at the WC
Center, parents of the Sunday
School and members of Branch
460 will meet with their children
to observe Passover. Frank New-
berg, executive secretary of the
school and program chairman of
Branch 460, announces that the
program is designed to inform
the children and adults of the
traditions of Passover. Refresh-
ments will be served.,

Council Delegates Assembly Slated for April 25

A Jewish Community CoUncil
delegate assembly has been call-
ed for 8:15 p.m., April 25, at
Young Israel Center, it was an-
nounced this week by the Coun-
cil office.
In accordance with the Coun-
cil's constitution, a nominating
committee will submit names of
candidates for offices and va-
cancies on the executive com-
mittee to the delegates.
Headed by Harold Berry, the
committee is composed of Mrs.
William Burk, Lawrence Gubow,
Mrs. Irving Posner, Julius Rez-
nik, Meyer Schneider and Ben
Weil. Sidney Shevitz, Council
president, stated that additional
nominations may be made by
petitions signed by five qualified
delegates and filed at the Coun-
cil office 14 days after the
Council . meeting.
Delegates also will consider a

On May 23, a carnival present-
ed by the Club Presidents Com-
mittee of the Student Council
will take place. It will be held in
the. gym, lunchroom, and band

Students Day, sponsored by the
Student Council, was on Wednes-
day of this week. In every class,
members were elected to teach
while the teachers observed. The
administrative positions were
taken over by Jay Keystone,
Harvey Lapides, Carole Polinsky
and Howard Shapiro. The coun-
selors were student council
members. The purpose was to
promote better relationships be-
tween faculty and students and
to give the students an oppor-
tunity to teach.
A tri-chapter square dance was
given April 2 by Rex, Gomphers,
and Goode AZA, at Bnai Moshe
Synagogue.
The Councilettes will present
"April in Paris," a casual dance,
at the Aaron De Roy Jewish Cen-
ter, April 23. A floor show will be
presented by the girls.
April 29, 30 and May 1 are the
dates of the MISTY (Michigan
State Temple Youth) conclave.
It will be held in South Bend,
Ind., and is to be called "South
of the Border."
Al Jolson BBG will present a
fashion show, Sunday evening
April 23, at the Davison Center.
