Call Attention to Errors
In Yeshivah Calendar

Officials of the Yeshivath
Beth Yehudah this week call-
ed attention to two errors in
its annual calendar, issued
last Rosh Hashanah. The
first is in the licht benshen
time for Sabbath Hol Ha-
mo'ed, which was given as
7:42 p.m. and should be at
6:47 'p.m., -today.
The second mistake occurs
in the Licht benshen time for
May 28. The calendar has the
time as 8:40 p.m., while the
correct time actually is 7:38
p.m.

Hardly a soul in the commu-
unity has never heard the rich,
warm soprano voice of Detroit's
own Emma Schaver, who is one
of the leading musical spokes-
men for the Jewish people in
the world.
In a new album, to be re-
leased today by ''Mercury Rec-
ords, Mrs. Schaver is heard at
her very best in the songs she
knows and loves best herself.

The long-playing record is titled
"From the Heart of
P 1 e—
a eop
Songs by Emma Schaver."
And the melodies are truly the
songs of the Jewish people, from
the warm, plaintive notes of
"Kinneret" to the regal majesty
of "Shim HaShirim: The Song
of Songs."

Mrs. Schaver credits much of
the inspiration, which is deep-
ly _pronounced in the record-
ing, to Marc Lavry, • the Israeli
composer who arranged the
music, and the accompani-
ment of the Kol Zion L'golah
(Voice of Zion) orchestra.
