Folk School Students Give Check to Histadrut Through Sale of Stamps Florida Town Cancels Brotherhood Program MIAMI — The Anti-Defama- tion League of Bnai Brith this week called for an official in- vestigation of "threats and pres- sures" which forced cancellation of a Brotherhood Week rally in nearby Hialeah. The affair was to have been on a non-segre- gated basis, white and Negro children jointly participating. The rally was abruptly called off when its sponsors decided that an "explosive situation" had developed. Fear was ex- pressed that physical harm might come to the participating children. The sponsors were various Hialeah gommunity groups, including the local Bnai Brith lodge, and a number of churches in the community. Widespread distribution of a throwaway news paper,- The Florida Independent contrib- uted to the community tension.
