The engagement of Joan Gail
Stark to Arthur Carl -Schott was
recently announced. The bride-
elect is the daughter of Mrs. Wil-
liam Stark, of Roselawn Ave.,
and the late Mr. Stark. Mr.
Schott is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Sidney M. Schott, of Fair-
held Ave.
The couple is planning a win-
ter wedding.
Mr. and Mrs. Saul Cohen, of
Waverly Ave., announce the en-
gagement of their dat;:,,hter,
Gloria Rosalind, to Cpl. James
Allen Stark, son of Mrs. William
Stark, of Roselawn Ave., and
the late Mr. Stark.
Before entering service, Cpl.
Stark attended Wayne Univer-
sity. No wedding date has been
set.

nent pianist and teacher, will be
guest artist at the next in a se-
ries of concerts by the Cran-
brook Music Guild at 8:30 p.m.,

EVE MEISTER, Detroit dra-
matic coach, will present her
pupils, in a two-hour "Dramatic
Revue of 1955" at a Mother's Day
luncheon sponsored by parents
of her pupils at 2 p.m., May 15,
in Kormendy's. The program will
follow a banquet. Music will be
provided by Betty Polen. Those

ily of the late ALTA EPSTEIN
organized a club in her memo-
ry. The group will pursue char-
itable work, its first project be-
ing to make dresses- for con-
valescent youngsters at Chil-
dren's Hospital. The organiza-
tion will meet Tuesday, in the
home of Mrs. Morrie Brodsky.

Spring Colors Brighten
Cars at Flower Show
A spectacular range of fresh
Springtime colors will enhance a
special showing of Chrysler Cor-
poration cars at the annual
Michigan Flower and Garden Ex-
hibition March 26 through April
3 at the State Fair Grounds.
Occupying the Annex directly
behind the Coliseum, the auto-
mobile display will be a feature
of Chrysler's dramatic re-crea-
tion of Smoky Mountain vaca-
tion areas: The collection of two-
tone and three-tone cars has
been chosen to be shown amid
rhododendron, azaleas, 1 a u r e 1,
dogwood, roses, camellias and
wild-flowers.
With Plymouth, Dodge, DeSoto
and Chrysler divisions presenting
the newest in color-styling show
visitors will have an array of 30
ears to look at as well as the
latest in garden arrangements.
A total of 38 different hues are
used on the automobiles in vari-
ous combinations.

ner party, raised $1,600 for the
Histadrut Campaign, according
to William Selman, program and
Histadrut chairman. Hyman
Ohrlichman delivered the open-
ing remarks, and I. Sislin was
guest speaker. Featured artists
were Cantor and Mrs. Judah
Goldring.

DURFEE CHAPTER, Better
Schools Association, will feature
a film on the social life of the
teen-ager at its meeting at 8:15
p.m., Tuesday, in the school
auditorium. Samuel Kellman,
senior clinical psychologist at
Harper Hospital, will lead a dis-
cussion to follow. Durfee stu-
dents are invited to attend. Ad-
mission is by bringing one or two
parents.
Detroiter Is Leading
Chevrolet Salesman
Harry Abram, a native-
Detroiter, was recently pro-
claimed the nation's leading
Chevrolet automobile salesman
in competition with over 20,000
other salesmen.
Abrams, of 17200 Ohio, is a
selesman for the Dexter Chevro-
let Co. During 1954 he sold 495
new-model cars, which was in
addition to his deliveries on
trucks and used cars.
His victory was announced at
a recent banquet, at which 49
other top salesmen from all
over the country were honored
as the company leaders. Placing
behind Abram were salesmen
from Miami, Los Angeles and
Philadelphia.

ed by relatives and friends dur-
ing the family's recent bereave-
'men t.
A congregational meeting of
Northwest Israel Synagogue at
9 p.m., Tuesday, will be followed
by a model seder and pre-Pass-
over program, sponsored by the
Sisterhood and Men's Club.
Highlights of the evening will
be singing of holiday songs,
commentaries on the Hagga-
dah and a table display by the
Sisterhood.
The Adult Study Group, which
meets every Saturday afternoon,
is currently featuring classes on
the laws and customs of Pass-
over. The community is invited
to both programs at no charge.-
Northwest and Schaefer -
Chapters of the American Jew-
ish Congress recently combined
their March meeting to honor
Mrs. Louis Redstone with a
"This Is Your Life" program.
Mrs. Ralph Miller,. who was
mistress of ceremonies, intro-
duced many prominent com-
munity leaders with whom Mrs.
Redstone has worked during
her years of service to the Jew-
ish and general community.
Among them were Mrs. Beulah
Whitby, Detroit Commission on
ComMunity Interrelations: Mrs.
Doris Markel, representing Jew-
ish Social Service Bureau; Mrs.
Lucille Paustian, United Foun-
dation chairman; Mrs. Harry L.
Jackson, Jewish Welfare Fed-
eration; and Mrs. William Burk,
president, Women's Division,
American Jewish Congress.
. The program also included
members of her family—her
husband, Louis Redstone, her
sons, Danny and Lee, and Mrs.
Sol Redstone. Presentations of
the script book and charm
bracelet were made.
Preparing the program were
Mesdames Ralph Miller, Abe
Rozanoff, Al Gursky, Marshall
Brenner, Sol Redstone, Harry
Shefman, Aaron Benyas and
Jack Lieber. Mesdames Albert
Tanner, Hyman Wiseberg and
Irvin Faudem were in charge
of a social hour which followed.
The program concluded with
a showing of slides taken by
Louis Redstone during his re-
cent trip to Israel. Mrs. Jay
Kogan, of Northwest Chapter,
and Mrs. Monroe Title, of
Schaefer - 7, arranged the en-
tire afternoon's activities.
