The residence hall will contain lounges, a study hall, dining room and other social and rec- reational facilities. The univer- sity's present two dormitories house 450 out-of-town residents from 24 states and 1'7 foreign countries. This arrange- ment, • it is hoped, will serve to facilitate visits to Israel on the part of United States citizens. It will still be necessary for United States nationals to secure tourist visas for Israel, but as from March 15 such visas will be issued gratis, the statement pointed out. It drew attention to the fact that the volume of American tourist traffic to Israel has been growing steadily year by year and has been encouraged by the growth of tourist facili- ties in Israel, particularly mod- ern, hotel accommodations and transportation and recent facili- ties.
