pie quartet, will render the sec-
ond in a series of musical serv-
ices illustrating the evolution of
Jewish music at today's service

Special Program. at Beth Yehudah
To Mark Opening of School Building

Directors of the Beth Yehudah
Schools and leaders of the LadieS
of Yeshivath Beth Yehudah will
join with officially-appointed
delegates from synagogues and
organizations at special cere-
monies at 1 p.m., Sunday, at
which doors to the new three-
- story school structure will be
opened.
A number of invited guests
will be on hand to witness the
affixing of 36 mezzuzahs to bhe

school entrances, 25 classrooms,
offices and halls.
A public function marking the
official dedication of the new
building is planned for April 17.
Occupancy of the school struc-
ture, along with facilities in the
13-year-old Cong. Mogen Abra-
ham-Yeshivah and its adjoining
playground, will give Beth Ye-
huda adequate educational fa-
cilities for the first time in a

tion's Executive Board, presided

a testimonial dinner on the same
evening will honor Rabbi Joseph

leader for forty years. The dis-
tinguished cantor, Leibele Wald-
man, with a choir from New
York City, will be featured at the
dinner, which is being arranged
by a city-wide committee under
Judge Nathan J. Kaufman.
Others participating in coordi-
nating the cornerstone weekend
activities include: Abe Nusbaum,
Carl Langer, Rabbi Israel I. Hal-
pern, William Glaser, Harry
Saltzman, and Morris Mohr.

MEMORIAL ASSEMBLY

In memory of the great Jewish leader and scholar, Rabbi
Eliahu Meier Bloch, recently departed president of the

Rabbinical College of Telshe, a memorial assembly has been
called for 8:00 P. M., Tuesday, March 22, 1955, at the Beth
Shmuel Synagogue, Dexter at Buena Vista. Rabbi Mordecai
Katz, Dean of the Telshe Yeshivah, and Rabbis of Detroit,
will deliver the Eulogy.
