the Sheraton Cadillac Hotel,
Beth Frances Green, daughter of
Dr. and Mrs. Lewis Green, of
44)68 .Cortland, was joined in
marriage to David Leon Mendel-
son, son of Mr. and Mrs. Morris
Mendelson, of 5380 Oakman
Blvd. Rabbi Jacob E. Segal of-
ficiated.
The bride's gown was of chan-
tilly lace and nylon tulle, featur-
ing a portrait neckline. short
scalloped sleeves of the lace,
bodice embroidered in pearls
and an apron also of the lace.
The full gathered nylon, floor-
length skirt extended - into a
court train. Her crown of chan-
tilly lace held in place a silk il-
lusion veil of fingertip length,
and she carried lilies of the val-
ley and an orchid.
Mrs. Rose Berman was ma-
tron of honor,. and bridesmaids
were Honey Brbdwin, Suzanne
Gans, Joan Goldberg and Ruth
Rosender. Milton Green was
best man, and ushers included
Dr. Seymour Berman, Donald
Kahan, David Rosenzweig, Rob-
ert Gans, Daniel Babitch, Ber-
nard Fogel, ,.Sheldon Otis and
Cyril Moscow.
Following dinner and a -recep-
tion, the couple motored to Mi-

In a double-ring ceremony on
Feb. 10, at Adas Shalom Syna-
gogue, Elaine Brant exchanged
marital vows with Dr. Edward
Jerome Treisman. Rabbi Jacob
E. Segal and Cantor Nicholas
Fenakel officiated.
The bride, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Philip Brant, of Green-
lawn Ave., chose an ivory-toned
gown of floor length silk taffeta,
which was highlighted by a por-
trait neckline of Alencon lace
and seed pearls and tucked side
paniers at the hip line. Her il-
lusion veil of fingertip length
was held in place by a crown of
orange blossoms. Her bridal bou-
quet was composed of white
orchids and phaelanopsis.
Mrs. Norman Horwitz, sister of
the bridegroom, was matron of
honor, and bridesmaids were
Mrs. Sonya Klein, Mrs. Edith
Bookstein, Jeanette Badnarsh,
Lois Ash, Sue Radner and Pat
Turner. Gloria Brant and Mari-
an Weinberger, cousins of the
bride, were her flower girls.
The bridegroom, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Ben Treisman, of Col-
lingwood Ave., was served by
Leonard Brant, brother of the
bride, as best man. Ushers were
Dr. Henry Burko, Norman Hor-
witz, Dr. Joe Bookstein, Norman
Goldman, Dr. Norman Schakne
and Robert Goldman. Norman
Brant was the ring bearer;

tion, the couple flew to Mexico
City and Acapulco for their
honeymoon.

Mumford -Parents Hear
Wayne U. Counselor

Dr. Mildred Peters, associate
professor of guidance and coun-
seling at Wayne University, will
speak on "The Adolescent's View
of Himself" at a program pre-
sented by the Mumford Parents
Club on Tuesday evening in the
school.
Under guidance of the Par-
ents Club, the Robin Hop Dance,
featuring disk jockey Robin Cey-
imour, will be the first event held
in the new Mumford gym. The
dance is planned for 8:30 p.m.,
March 18, and will feature re-
cording artists who are in town
at the time.
At least one member of the
couple must be a Mumford stu-
dent. Proceeds from the dance
will go toward purchasing uni-
forms for Mumford's band.
The major fund-raising event
'of the season will be the annual
games party, to be held at 3
p.m., March 22, in Club Piemon-
tese, Puritan and Cheyenne.
Bridge and other games will be
played, with proceeds going to
the scholarship fund and other
school projects.

Pvt. Shimon Berris, who for a
time was acting Jewish chaplain
at Camp Chaffee, Ark., is now
the assistant chaplain to. Chap-
lain Milton J. Kain, in the 5th
Armored Division.
During the recent observance
of Brotherhood Week, Pvt. Ber-
ris participated in several pro-
grams in Muskogee and Tulsa,
Okla., as follows:
On Feb. 22, he spoke at gath-
erings at Central High School,
Manual Training High School,
Bayona College and the -Musko-
gee Kiwanis Club, along with
a Catholic priest and Protestant
minister.
On Feb. 23, Pvt. Berris ad-
dressed a parent-student gath-
ering at Will Rogers High
School, in Tulsa.
On Feb. 28, Pvt. Berris gave a
program of Jewish music for the
Sisterhood of United Hebrew
Temple, in Fort Smith, Ark., in
celebration of Jewish Music
Month.
He is the son of Mr. and Mrs.
David I. Berris, of 3839 Leslie,
Detroit.
