SAM BANK RETURNED from
Rochester, Minn., last Passover,
with a project for his Bnai Brith

Council Delegate Assembly to Review
I `Lunatic
Fringe,' Mark :Music Month

Jewish Community Council
delegrates will convene at a mid-
winter delegate assembly Mon-
day, 8:15 p.m., at , the Esther
Berman Branch of the United
Hebrew School, Schaefer at 7
Mile.
The agenda, as announced by
Council President Sidney M.
Shevitz, will include a discussion
of current development in
governmental and involuntary
groups relating to civil rights
and immigration; and an analy-
sis of current Arab and anti-
Israel propaganda efforts in this
country.

Shevitz stated that the dele-
gates will have an opportunity
to review the entire range of
so-called "lunatic-fringe" activi-
ties now ascertainable in the
country and in the local corn-
munity. Recent actions also of
Council committees will be pre-
sented to the assembly. Ocur-
ring during Jewish Music Month,
the Council announcement
stated that a special observance
of this occasion would be made
at the delegate 'assembly which
will be followed by a social hour
at which hostesses will be the
pioneer Women's Council of De-

Michigan Congress Council
delegates voted unanimously to
accept the invitation of Jewish
Welfare Federation officials to
have the American Jewish Con-
gress take up quarters in the
Fred M. Butzel Memorial Build-
ing, 163 Madison. Dr. Leon Fram,
Council president, stated that
the move was in accord with
national policy of locating re-
gional offices at t he hub of
Jewish communal life and said
it would redound to the benefit
of the entire Congress move-
ment in Michigan as it has in
Baltimore and Los Angeles where
similar moves were made.
A prime consideration in
transferring from the present
Dexter offices are the diversified
facilities of Federation that will
meet the needs of growing Con-
gress membership and increas-
ing activities, according to Irv-
ing Abramowitz, regional direc-

ously were located in the
Washington Boulevard Bldg.
