The marriage of Sara Lee
Zimmerman, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Herman Zimmerman,
of Leslie Ave., to Garry Schuster,
son o f Mr. a n d Mrs. Samuel
Schuster, of Toledo, 0. was
solemnized Jan. 2, at a double-
ring ceremony in the Founder's
Room of the Sheraton Cadillac
Hotel. Dr. Leon Fram officiated.
The bride chose a gown of im-
ported candlelight French lace,
in Queen Victoria style, which
was beaded throughout with
bridal seed pearls. Her illusion
veil of fingertip length fell from
a beaded headpiece, fashioned
from her mother's wedding
gown. She carried orchids on a
white, satin Bible.
Attending the bride as maid
of honor w a s her twin - sister,
Gloria Jean Zimmerman. Her
other attendants were another
sister, Mrs. Marilyn Belin, Lee
Seigerman, the bridegroom's sis-
ter, Rhoda Belinsky and _Marcia
Kleinman.
Harold Schuster, of New York
City, was the bridegroom's best
man, and ushers were Leon Be-
lin, Leon Subell and David Rose.
Seating the guests were Martin
Ross and Simon Silver, cousins
of the bride.
Also in the bridal party was
the bride's grandmother, Mrs.
Anna Silver, who was ushered
down the aisle by her son, Df.
David I. Silver.
Following the ceremony, din-
ner was served hi the Grand
Ballroom. The couple left on an
Eastern honeymoon, and on
their return will reside in
Toledo.
Out of town guests in atten-
dance at the wedding were from
New York, Philadelphia, Buffalo,
Chicago, Cincinnati and Cleve-
land.

To Wed Aug. 14

At the annual convention of
Midwest branches of Young Is-
rael, held earlier this month in
Cleveland, 0., Samuel W. Platt,
former president of Young Is-
rael of Detroit and presently a
member of its board of direc-
tors, was elected regional presi-
dent.
Among the highlights of the
convention was the oratorical
contest, in which local repre-
sentatives Sherill Cohen receiv-
ed the first prize award : an all-
; expense paid trip to the 42nd
I national convention.
David I. Berris, president of
Young Israel of Detroit, an-
nounced this week that a Siyum
Sefer Torah event will be held
lat 1 p.m., Sunday, at its Dexter
Center.
A Sefer Torah will be pre-
sented by Mr. and Mrs. Harry
Rosen, of 2674 W. Buena Vista,
to the Center. Simultaneously,
, a Sefer Torah also will be pre-

sented to Young Israel Center
of Oak-Woods.
Morris Novetsky, president of
the Oak-Woods group, and Rab-
bi Yaakov Homnick, spiritual
leader, will be among the guest
speakers. The entire community
is invited to the program and
to a social hour which will fol-
low, under sponsorship of the
Rosens.
