Samuel Reshevsky Wins
Rosenwald Chess Trophy

Honors were recently accorded
to Samuel Reshevsky, the lead-
ing chess player in the United
States. At a reception for him .
held in New York's Park Shera-
ton hotel, Reshevsky was award-
ed the Rosenwald trophy. He
won it in a turnament held at
the Marshall Chess Club. The
trophy was presented to Reshev-
sky by the donor, Lessing J.
Rosenwald. Reshevsky won the
tournament by edging out Larry
Evans, who is also one of the
leading- stare.
