Two weeks of poster making
and campaigning by those run-
ning for the Student Council
and its officers finally came to
a close last week.
Winning the title of president
was Harvey Lapides; vice-presi-
dent, Howard Shapiro; secretary
of the Council, Aline Lappin;
secretary of the House of Repre-
sentatives, Janet Bing; and
treasurer, David Rosenthal.
The two members elected to
Council's executive board are
Carole Polinsky and ; Bruce
Parker. Four members are also
elected from each half grade.

Aliens Must File Residence Report

All aliens in the United States
on Jan. 1 must report their resi-
dence addresses to the Commis-
sioner of Immigration and Na-
turalization this month. Reports
for children under 14 must be
filled out by parents or legal
guardians. Any alien temporar-
ily absent from the U.S. during
the report - period must register
his address' within 10 days after

returning. The address report
card (Form 1-53) may be ob-
tained at any Pest Office or
Immigration and Naturalization
Service office.
The card, which is to be filled
out completely, must be handed
to a post office clerk or immi-
gration official. IT IS NOT. TO
BE PLACED IN THE MAIL.
The only aliens exempt from
filing reports are Canadian citi-
zens visiting this country for less
than six months and citizens of
other countries who are here
for less than 30 days.

Plan Passover Trip
To Europe and Israel

The Elkin Hotel and Travel
Bureau, at 19437 Livernois, is
currently arranging a six-week
tour of Europe and Israel that
will feature the celebration of
Passover in Jerusalem.
This luxury tour, as is de-
scribed by Elkin officials, • will
visit in Israel, Greece, Italy,
France, Spain and Portugal.
Leaving New York on March
24, tourists will emplane for
Lisbon. Prior to 'visiting Israel,
the group will stop also at Mad-
rid and Rome. Approximately
two weeks will be spent in visit-
ing the largest cities in Israel.
First and second day PaSsover
services will be held in Jeru-
salem, following which the re-
mainder of the time will be tak-
en up with planned tours and
leisure activieies.
On the return trip, the group
will visit in Athens, Naples, Sor-
rento, Capri, Rome, Nice and
Paris, before returning to New
York. Translantic passage will
be by air both ways.

Synagogue has invited prospec-
tive members to a paid-up mem-
bership luncheon at 12:30 p.m
Monday, in the synagogue soda'
hall.
Mrs. Irving Chaiken, member-
