riage of Miss Judith B. Heyman,
daughter of Mrs. Samuel N. Hey-
man, of Glendale Avenue, and
the late Samuel N. Heyman, and
Sol Silver, son of Mr. and Mrs.
H. David Silver, of Richton Ave-
nue, was solemnized by Dr. A.
M. Hershman and Cantor J. H.
Sonenklar, at the Shaarey Zedek,
Tuesday evening.
Miss Ellen Siegel was maid of
honor. Paul Rafels was best
man. In the bridal party also
was Moshe Heyman.
Out-of-town guests who came
here for the wedding were the
bride's cousins, Dr. and Mrs. Is-
rael Heyman, of Tel Aviv, Is-
rael; Mitchel Gandal, of Cleve-
land; Mr. and Mrs. Jack Silver,
Meyer B. Silver, Mrs. Anne Ro-
manoff and Mr. and Mrs. Louis
Solcoff, all of New Haven, Conn.
The kiddush Cup used in the
wedding ceremony and the Yar-
mulke worn by the bridegroom
were brought from Israel by the
bride on her recent visit there.
The wedding ring, especially
made by a craftsman in San
'Francisco, bore the Hebrew in-
scription Ahuvati—my beloved.
The newlyweds have left for
San Francisco, where Mr. Silver
is stationed with the U.S. Army.
Their residence in San Francisco
is at 3025 Van Ness Avenue.

HORBERG - LSAACSON. Joan
Isaacson, daughter of Dr. and
Mrs. Harry Kirschbaum, of Can- I
terbury Rd., became the bride of
Jay Horberg, son of Mrs. Flor-1
ence Horberg, of Chicago,
and the late Mr. Samuel Hor-
berg, in a ceremony Dec. 19, in
the Stateler Hotel.
Miss Isaacson attended Kings-
wood School, Cranbrook, and is
a graduate of Northwestern Uni-
versity. Mr. Horberg, a gradu-
ate of the University of ChiCago,
attends John Marshall Law
School, in Chicago.
The bride chose a ballerina-
length gown of lace and pleated
tulle. Her lace cap secured an
illusion veil which fell to her
shoulders.
Barbara Horberg, the bride-
groom's sister, was the bride's
honor attendant, and Sherwin
Swartz served as best man.
Ushers were Jo Isaacson, the
bride's brother, and Michael
Burnstine, of Chicago.
Following a brief honeymoon,
the couple will take up residence
in Chicago.

Reach Policy Agreement

NEW YORK, (JTA)
World Jewish Congress Execu-
tive has ratified an agreement
with the South African Board of
Jewish Deputies under which
the two bodies will confer on
certain matters affecting world
Jewry "with a view to reaching
common policy," it was an-
nounced by the WJC Organiza-
tion Department.
The agreement also provides
that the Congress will give "all
available assistance" to the
South African Board on cultural
matters. The agreement between
the groups provides for the per-
manent exchange of relevant,
material and information.

A new series of radio inter-
views on "Detroit's Women of
Achievement" will be inaugurat-
ed by WDET-FM, Wayne Univer-
sity Radio, beginning at 7:45
p.m., Tuesday and continuing
through April 12.
The first of the programs, pro-
duced in cooperation with the
Women's Achievement Commit-
tee, will feature an informal in
terview with Louise C. Grace,
president, Detroit Board of Edu-
cation.
The March 15 program will
highlight an interview with Mrs.
Joseph Welt, president, National
Council of Jewish Women.
All programs will be rebroad-
cast the Sunday following the
original presentation at 9:15
a.m., over radio station WXYZ-
AM.
