Jewish Community Center were
elected by the organization's
board of directors at a recent
meeting. They include Samuel
Raskin, president; Gus D. New-
man, vice-president; Abraham
Kastenbaum, secretary; and Ir-
win I. Cohn, treasurer. Kasten-
baum was also made an honor-
ary member of the association.

basic purpose of the organiza-
tion was to provide the ma-
chinery by means of which
' former members of youth groups
at the old Hannah Schloss
Memorial building could meet
together. More specific purposes
will be evolved as the association
develops.

meeting adopted a budget for 1955 of $29,403,000 to aid an estimated 160,000 men, women and chil-
dren overseas. Funds for JDC's overseas programs are provided by the United Jewish Appeal.
