Rabbi Isaac B. Rose, national director of Hapoel Hamizrachi, gave a report of the accomplish- ments of the organization in Is- rael. During the last year, he said, eight new settlements have been established by the Hapoel Hamizrachi in Israel. The meeting adopted a pro- gram for the coming year that will include an extensive mem- bership campaign to be headed by Morris White and Mrs. Moses Wiser; establishment of a wom- en's -group; organization of par- ents of Bnei Akiva, youth group; and establishment of an Hapoel Hamizarachi council of MISS BARBARA RUBIN Detroit, consisting of represen- tatives of the Bar Ilan Chapter, Chasen Chapter, Bnei Akiva, and the League for Religious Labor in Israel. Others elected were Ernest Greenfield, secretary; and Max Carmen, treasurer. Rabbi Rose also spoke at a meeting of the Chazon Group, and reported on the progress of the group nationally and in Is- rael. To Wed Feb. 26 W. C. Rabbi Meisels Banquet Receives Local Support Continued response from the community for tickets to the banquet being planned in honor of Rabbi Chaim Meisels, who is celebrating his fourth year in Detroit, is reported this week by the local committee, headed by David J. Cohen, acting chair- man, and Isidor Sosnick, honor- ary chairman. Rabbi Meisels, known as the Sarva.sher Rebe, will be feted at 6 p.m., Jan. 9, in the Young Is- rael eCnter.
