Dennis Reddick, the man from
Mars, visited Earth people Ida
Nader and Wayne Rivers, to tell
them that although we may not
have progressed to our capacity
scientifically we must continue
to increase our religious beliefs.
Ida concluded the program with
"The Lord's Prayer." .

So that better student rela-
tions among high schools may
be established, a Pershing-
Central student exchange took
place last week. Eight Pershing
students visited our school to
view classes and activities. Guid-
ing the visitors —were Harriet
Fields, Mike Gaines, Sybil Puda-
vick, Ronald Hirsch, Betty Wizer
and Nelson Chase.
Centralites who were hosted
at Pershing the same day were
Rena Shrodak, Zelda Gershon-
son, Minnie Krekun, Abba Fried-
man, Helen Amhowita, Noel
Lawson, Elaine Braverman and
Jerry Greenbaum.

Hillcrest Country Club was the
scene of the second annual in-
stallation of officers of the Louis
Brandeis BBG. Mrs. Norman
Lakoff, advisor, installed as of-
ficers Phyllis Liptzen, president,
and Shifty Weinstock, vice pres-
ident. The girls' escorts were
Phil Stone and Moishe Katzman.

Sholem Aleichem Group
Slates Cabaret Night
The Sholem Aleichem Insti-
tute, 18495 Wyoming, will be
converted into a picturesque
cafe at 9 p.m., Dec. 11, when
members of the Institute's Young
Adult Group, Chapter II, holds
their cabaret night program.
Highlighting the evening's en-
tertainment will be a comedy
revue, "Familiar Faces of 1954,"
written and directed by Mary
Lee and Adeline Beckerman.
Musical arrangements are by
Malka Shaw, costumes by Lil-
lian Gold and Rita Knapp and
stage sets by Rose Levine.
Paul Chover, chairmen, is as-

week told an audience compris-

Israelis in Detroit, Dr. Shmueli
said, should take advantage of

swer session.
The group's next program is
planned for 8 p.m., Dec. 11, at

cobs, Zionist leader, will speak
on the United Nations' decision
to create an independent Jewish
state in 1947.
