Urgent Plea for
Cash for the AJC

paign, appealed to Detroit Jew-
ry to do their utmost to assure
success for the cash drive. now
in operation.
The drive to turn pledges to
the Allied Jewish Campaign into
dollars . is participated in by
every' division of the campaign.
Blumberg and Goldman stated
it was their duty, before relin-
quishing their job as campaign
chairmen, to see to it that the
much-needed cash is available
to the drives' beneficiaries—
locally, nationally and overseas.

Special Programs

Dr. Benjamin D. Welling,
chairman of recreation and oc-
cupational therapy committee of
the Home for Aged, announces
that the Home has scheduled
several special programs for De-
cember.
Rabbi Josua S. Sperka spoke
Dec. 1.
Wolfe Syder speaks to the res-
idents each year in honor of
Jewish Book Month, and will ad-
dress them again Wednesday
evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Sandor Green-
field will entertain the residents
with an evening of Yiddish
songs on Dec. 15. On Dee. 22,
Cantor Ernest Greenfield and
his choir will lead the residents
in evening prayer and the light-
ing of Hanukah candles.
A combined Hanukah and
birthday party will be held Dec.;
23. The Music Study Club will
furnish the entertainment.
Rabbi Leo Goldman will speak
on Dec. 29 on the Terecentenary.
