Iraqi Jews Warned to Reduce Vacations
Direct JTA Teletype Wire to The Jewish Nev
The Iraq Embassy here has inserted advertisements in the British press warning
Iraqi Jews who have left the Arab country on vacation or business trips that the
length of their stay abroad has been limited by a new decree.
The advertisement advises the Iraqi Jews abroad that they must return to their
home country within six months from the date they left it, even if they had permission
to remain abroad a year or if their original six-month stay has been extended to one year.
The regulations governing travel by Iraqis abroad provide for confiscation of property
and revocation of citizenship of Iraqis who do not return within the prescribed deadline.

worker. He promised producer
David 0. Selznick a new play
for Broadway production, but
when eight months went by
without any further word from
the writer, Selznick began to
feel a little impatient. Phoning
the write r, he demanded:
"Where's the play? I want to get
the cast assembled, start re-

"It's coming along, coming
along," the writer assured him.
But Selznick wanted something
more definite. "Just how far
have you got with it?" he asked.
"Well," the playwright said,
"you know it's to be in three
acts and two intermissions. I've ly THE BAKERS OF "OVEN CRISP" ilINSALTED1 MATZOH,

It's as simple as 11-2-3 to drift into
the most refreshing winter night's
sleep you've ever hadl
1. Just set your automatic bed
covering's temperature con-
trol to the warmth you want.
2. Zip into bed.
3. Dream away relaxed, un-
hampered by umpteen heavy
blankets over you.
An automatic bed covering gives
you light-as-a-feather, warm-as-
toast comfort regardless of room
temperature changes. And for only
a tiny fraction more than 2c worth
of electricity a night.
