N. African Jews Fear
Violence By Arabs

NEW YORK, (JT Al—The 500,-
000 Jews of North Africa are
deeply concerned over the possi-
bility that they will be singled
out as scapegoats for violence by
Arab propagandists and extrem-
ists, an American Jewish Com-
mittee delegation which return-
ed from a tour of North Africa
declared.
"Terrorist activities in Moroc-
co and Tunisia affect every ele-
ment of the population," the
AJC delegates reported. "How-
ever, Jews are worried. that Arab
League propagandists and other
extremists may seek to single
out the Jewish population as the
scapegoat in the future."
The AJC group stressed that
Jews of Morocco and Tunisia
must have the freedom of choice
of remaining in those countries
on a basis of full equality with
the Moslems or of emigrating in
peace with their belongings.

Stockholm Court
Metes Sentence
To Anti-Semite

LONDON, (JTA)—Einar Aberg,_
notorious Swedish anti-Semite,
has been sentenced to two
months' imprisonment by a
Stockholm court on charges of
having published and distributed
pamphlets containing violent de-
famation of Jews and instiga-
tion of racial hatred, the World
Jewish Congress reported.
Aberg, who has been sentenced
before on similar charges, con-
tinued his refusal to make pub-
lic the whereabouts of his print-
er, telling police, "It's no good
asking me.” The latest proceed-
ings against him were started
following representations made
by the World Jewish Congress to
the Swedish Ambassadcir in
Washington.
Aberg's pamphlets, many of
which are distributed in Latin
America in Spanish - language
editions, aroused widespread
comment in the Swedish press,
which observed that the distri- 1
bution of such hate literature
abroad was highly injurious to 1
the good-will Sweden enjoyed in
other countries. Aberg told
police that funds for his world-1
wide anti-Semitic a c t i v i t i est
came from "the public and
through other channels," and i
added that these funds came '
in most generously whenever he
was on trial.
Expressing its "most profound
disquiet" at the fact that Presi-
dent Theodor Heuss of the Ger-
man Federal Republic had con-
ferred "martyrdom" on Kon-
stantin von Neurath, recently
released war criminal, the World
Jewish Congress issued a state-
ment in which it described von
Neurath as a justly convicted
war criminal who was one of
Hitler's most important adju-
tants in fomenting World. War
II, as well as his chief agent of
oppression in Czechoslovakia.
