Manufacturers' Association, Be-
jarano emigrated from Italy to
Palestine in 1936 with his broth-
er. They opened the Bejarano
Brothers Cigarette Factory, and
later founded the .Assis Citrus,
Fruit and Vegetable Canning
Factoryin Ramat Gan. They
employ - 730 workers, earning
$500,000 annually in foreign cur-
rency alone.
A Bnai Brith member in Is-
rael. Bejarano visited the New
England area of the U. S. in
1952 on a mission for the Zion-
ist Organization of America.. He
was treasurer of the Zionist Or-
ganization in Milan, and now
serves on the finance committee
of Israel's Knesset.
"One Night in Israel" also will
feature the singer and story-
teller, Molly Picon.

upbuilding on radio, television
and from the lecture platform.
His book, "Journal for Gentiles"
is now being prepared for pub-
lication.
Pointing to the fact that "eco-
nomic strength is the most ef-
fective answer to threats, block-
ades and boycotts," Chairman
Samuel Gottlieb, of 19951 Sussex,
said: "The purchase of Israel
Bonds will add to Israel's eco-
nomic strength, and will show
the backward countries of the
world that peace, prosperity and
human dignity c a n be demo-
cratically won with investment
capital. We, as Americans and
Bnai Brith members, understand
this premise."

With Mickey Woolf serving as •
master. of ceremonies, the De-
partment of Michigan Jewish
War Veterans Auxiliary will hold
its eighth annual donor lunch-
eon at 12:30 p.m., Wednesday,
at Masonic Temple.
A capacity audience of 1,600
women will hear Woolf and his
vocalist, Donna Danielle, who
will be accompanied by 'Joseph
Karle at the piano. Max . Sosin,
local comedian, will round out
the program.
The award of a mink stole and
a weekend at Oakton Manor,
Lake Pewaukee, Wis., with plane
transportation for two included,
will head the list of some 150
prizes to be given away, stated
Mrs. Sam Spolan, donor chair-
man.
Assisting Mrs. Spolan with
donor arrangements are Mes-
dames Nathan Feld, tickets;
Walter Fischel, co-chairman;
Herbert Goldstein, liners; Mar-
tin Salinger, co-chairman; Ruth

Mrs. A. Albert Sugar, presi-
dent of JWVA in Michigan, said
that while funds continue to aid
citizens from the time of induc-
tion, through their military ca-
reers and then as veterans, em-
phasis also is placed on a child
welfare program.
Youth services include aid and
entertainment for children
placed in Juvenile Detention
Home and youngsters confined
to Children's Hospital.
