In an informative address to
large audience at Temple
Israel, Tuesday night, Dr. Joseph
Hirsch, noted New York physi-
cian who has made a deep study
of Hadassah's status in Israel,
Commended the women's Zionist
organization's medical efforts in
the Jewish state. During his visit
here he helped mobilize assis-
tance for Hadassah and for the
Iiebrew University - Hadassah
Medical School.
Dr. Hirsch pointed out in his
address that just as the world
can not survive half slave and
half free, so must it avoid being
half healthy and half sick. It is
essential, therefore, he stated,
that efforts , like Hadassah's,
geared towards healing the sick
in an impoverished part of the
world, should be supported to
the utmost. -
He commended Hadassah as a
strong force for democracy in
the world and urged that all
possible support be given its
proj ects.
