A hearty response has been
registered for the course, "The
History of the Jews in America,"
which marked the first activity
of the LaMed Professorship of
Jewish Culture, made possible by
an initial sum of $10,000 granted
by Mr. and Mrs. Louis LaMed

The course, taught this sem-
ester by Dr. Bernard Weisberger,
commenced on Oct. 27, but new
students still are being regis-
tered.
A number of auditors were
present at the first session and
it has been announced that
