Local Old-Timers
Convene Oct. 27

Wednesday, Oct. 27, will be
the day when men who may not
have seen each other for a guar:-
ter of a century or more will
be meeting again to renew old
friendships and to re-live the
not-forgotten past.
At the Davison Jewish Center,
at 8 p.m., the first official re-
union will take , place of the
Hannah Schloss Memorial
Btilding Old Timers.
The men who will gather are
those who '' vividly recall the
"Hannah Schloss" on "old High
Street,'; a hub of Jewish acti-
vity which offered recreational
programs, educational classes
and other services. Now adult
members of the community in
all walks of life, these men had
their own clubs at the building,
learned democratic methods at
first hand and engaged in many
athletic activities.
Samuel Raskin, who heads the
temporary committee which has
arranged for the reunion, urges
all those who have not been
contacted and who participated
in any , of the activities, clubs,
teams and related activities of
the building to contact Abraham
Kastenbaum at the Jewish Cen-
ter, 8904 Woodward, or to call
him at TR. 5-8450.
