Shaarey Zedek Sisterhood Prepares
For Second Annual Cooking School

en's American ORT is planned
for 12:30 p.m., Monday, at Hud-
son's Northland auditorium, an-

Season to Start Oct. 28

German rearmament and its
impact on world politics will be
discussed by Gen. W. H. Wilbur,
military expert and diplomat,
who will speak at 11 a.m., Wed-
nesday, at DETROIT TOWN
HALL, in the Fisher Theater.
Recently returned from Ger-
many, Gen. Wilbur had the op-
portunity of talking to German
leaders and youth and visited
German schools. During the war,
he received the Congressional
Medal of Honor for ."outstanding
bravery under fire." Since re-
tiring" from the Army, Gen. Wil-
bur has made extensive surveys
of political, social and economic
developments in vital areas of

Standard Oil Elects Blaustein
NEW YORK, (JTA) — Jacob
Blaustein, honorary president of
the American Jewish Committee,
was elected to the board of di-
rectors of the Standard Oil Com-
pany of Indiana. Blaustein con-
tinues his post in the American
Oil Company, of which he was
co-founder with his father.
