Irving Davidson, nationally
known humorist who has enter-
tained Detroiters at special
functions here for many years,
will be the guest speaker at a
program sponsored by Temple
Israel Sisterhood at 8:30 p.m.,
Wednesday, in the temple audi-
torium.
"Contemporary Jewish Wit
and Humor" will be Davidson's
topic. A new York attorney, his
hobby is collect-
ing, cataloguing
and preserving
stories which
best character-
ize peoples of
the world and
the nations in
which they live.
Davidson is a
graduate of City
College of New
York and the
Fordham Uni-
versity Law
School. He
served for five
Davidson
years as princi-
pal of the Park Avenue Syna-
gogue Religious School, under
the late Rabbi Milton Steinberg.
He is a member of the speak-
ers bureaus of the National
Jewish Welfare Board and
