Slate Pick-Up Day

Re-Sale Shop Pick-Up _Day Is
planned for Oct. 17, according to
an announcement this week by
the Detroit Section, National
Council of Jewish Women, which
operates two Council Re - Sate
Shops, at 2610 Clifford and 8721
Twelfth.
Under the general chairman-
ship of Mrs. Benjamin Stein-
berg, bags have been distributed
to be filled with reasonable arti-
cles, under the direction of the
following area chairmen:

Bar Mitzvahs

I To Wed in March

Mr. and Mrs. Max Nosanchuk
announce the Bar Mitzvah of
their son, Jerry Leon, on Satur-
day, at Beth Aaron Synagogue. A
dinner in his honor will be held
the following evening, in the
synagogue social hall.

feld spoke their marital vows in
a recent candlelight double ring
ceremony, at Holiday Ma-
nor. Rabbi Jacob Segal and
Cantor Nicholas Fenakel offi-
ciated.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Beitner, of
Mark Twain Ave. The bride-
groom's parents are Mr. and Mrs.
Joseph Weinfeld, of Indiana
Ave.
The new Mrs. Weinfeld wore
an all-white gown of mousseline
de soie over white silk taffeta,
with Alencon lace appliques over
the portrait neckline. She car-
! ried a Biblps covered with or-
chids.
Elsie Weinfeld, sister of the
bridegroom, was maid of honor,
and • bridesmaids were Sandra
Kane, Rosalyn Liberson, Leatrice
Kowall and Arlene Freedman.
Nancy Nudell was the bride's
flower girl.
Ralph Lipshaw served as best
man, and ushers included Sher-
man Kane, Marvin Liberson,
Sheldon Goldberg and Samuel
Freedman.
Following a dinner and recep-
tion, the newlyweds left for a
honeymoon in New York and
the Catskill Mountains. They
are now residing at 4025 Cle-
ments. Out-of-town guests at-
tending the wedding were from
San Diego, Calif., Cleveland, 0.,
New York and Pennsylvania.

Fund-raising plans are occu-
pying much of the time of mem-
bers of the Greater Detroit Bnai
Brith Women's Council as -ac-
tivities center around the an-
nual "star-studded" revue, to
be held Nov. 23, at Masonic
Temple, states Mrs. Alfred La-
kin, Council president.
Mrs. Philip Fealk, fund-rais-
ing chairman, advises that res
ervations to the event are being
taken by Mrs. Sidney Eidelman,

A weekend for two at Oakton
Manor Resort at Lake Pewaukee,

er, and will be followed with a
series of fund-raising programs,

pective members and their
guests, is slated for 8:30 p.m.,
Thursday, at Cong. Beth Moses,
states Mrs. Murray Bidlofsky,
program chairman.
DETROIT CHAPTER—A mem-
ber-bring-a-member bagel an..I
lox party is planned for 8:30
p.m., Wednesday at the home of
Shirley Rosenberg, 4711 W. Outer
Dr. Mrs. Leonard Sims will be
guest speaker, and the dramatic
group will entertain with skits
and songs, announces Mrs. Louis
L. Friedland, Chapter president.
