VIENNA, (JTA) — The Yugo- slav government has adopted a policy of "neutralization" with regard to the schools of the Jewish community, Prof, Albert Vajas, president of the Feder- ation of Jewish Communities in ; Yugoslavia, told the JTA here: Prof. Vajs said that what was intended in the Jewish schools was not an anti-religious, but • non-religious program. The Yugoslav le a der said there are now 6,500 Jews in Yu- goslavia, comprising 35 com- munities. Emigration from Yu- goslavia to Israel, he declared, is not restricted, but few Jewi are taking advantage of the op- portunity to leave the country SAVE $ APPLIANCES-TELEVISION SAVE $ After You See Your Relatives . . . Two hundred men and women prominent in Jewish affairs here on Monday evening at- tended a preview, at the Carlton .Theater on Fenkell, of the Is- rael-made movie, "Khamishia," spoken in English. The Carlton plans to bring it here for a long stay starting Oct. 17. This film incorporates five tales of Israel. It is well done, excellently photographed, a n d the actors—all settlers in Israel — are natural and depict the new life that has arisen with the creation of the Jewish state. This film indicates the ad- vances that are being made by the Israel motion picture pro- ducers. While the film opens like a documentary, it speedily gathers momentum and enters into a new spirit which is de-1 veloped in the five themes. "Jonathan and T a 1 i" is a heartbreaking tale a bout a mother, who had been in a con- centration camp, who comes to Israel and finds her children who by that time had been adopted. But it also is a heart- warming story because of its ' many human elements. I "Deadline for Danny" is a bit drawn-out, nevertheless it is an excellent story about a boy who refuses to part from the family cow and won't let it be slau0- tered. . "Song of Israel" and "Son - of Sulam" add charm to the entire collection. A wire from Israel Ambassa- dor Abba E b a n greeted the gathering that attended t h e preview.
