Jewish Education, of which he
was one of the founders and
first president. He is on the
editorial board of Jewish Educa-
tion and Religious Education.

900 Communities Respond to UJA

NEW YORK, (JTA) — More
than 900 local campaign bodies
responded to the $50,000,000 cash
appeal of the United Jewish AP -
peal in its first week, Morris W.
Berinstein, national chairman of
the cash campaign, reported.
He termed this "an encourag-
' ing sign of the momentum we
seek and require for the drive's
success." -
The national campaign ca bi-
