Mrs. Fishman's 'Feet Treat' Creates
A Commotion in the Beauty World

Many

Detroit housewives and
good many community or-
ganizations are familiar with
the brand name Catherine's Cor-
rect Cosmetics. Cosmetic parties
and demonstrations in many
local homes have made Cath-
erine's a household by - w o r d
among the fairer sex.
Now, it appears as if Cath-
erine's is headed for even a big-
ger and brighter future, as many
leading department stores have
taken over her complete line of
cosmetics.
The rapid change in Cath-
erine's marketing technique has
come about so swiftly that the
Catherine behind the na m'e
Catherine's Cosmetics is having
a difficult time keeping up with
all the changes.

Ralph Fishman, of 19782 Chey-
enne, in recent weeks, h a s
made history in the beauty
and health fields. Her latest
product, Feet Treat, is respon-
sible for all the commotion.
Since its introduction, local
department stores have sold jars
upon jars of the product and re-
sales indicate its growing popu-
larity. Behind Feet Treat, which
is supposed to bring relief for
tired, aching feet, is a tale
which in itself is interesting.
The story of Feet Treat starts
about the time when the Fish-
mans moved to Detroit — about
At that time, Mrs. Fishman,
already in the cosmetics field for
a number of years, began ex-
perimenting on a cream for the
feet. Born and reared on a farm
in Illinois, about 130 miles south
of Chicago, Mrs. Fishman h a d
gone to the Illinois School of
Nursing.
On her graduation, she !be-
came affiliated with a skin spec-
ialist from Heidelberg, Germany,
who invited her to join the staff
of his clinic. On his death, Mrs.
Fishman was willed his entire
line of skin and beauty form-
ulae, which she has been selling
since that time.
The problem, as Mrs. Fish-
man recognized it when she
worked for an arthritic clinic,
was to develop a cream for the
feet. Why a cream for all other
parts of the body with no ef-
fective relief for corns, cal-
ouses and tired feet, she won-
dered?
Out of that came years of ex-
perimentation until finally Feet
Treat was discovered. With Feet
Treat catching a hold on the
market, other Catherine's Cos-
metic products also are being in-
troduced with results so aston-
ishing that Mr. Fishman plans
to take time out from his furni-
ture business to help his wife
in this new enterprise.
The Fishmans have a son,
Gordon, who presently is a sen-
i o r in the Wayne University
Medical School. But Mrs. Fish-
man would offer no comment on
whether Gordon would repeat
the cycle by becoming a skin
specialist.
