Lebanon Blames Israel
UNITED NATIONS, N.Y.
(JTA)—In a letter to the Secur-
ity Council, • the government of
Lebanon accused Israel of res-
ponsibility in the "small war"
in Jerusalem between Israel and
Jordan.
The letter, which the Leban-
ese delegation asked be circu-
lated among Security Council
members, described the three-
day exchange of shots as "yet
another act of aggression which
was perpetrated by the armed
forces of Israel against the Holy
City of Jerusalem." The Leban-
ese missive repeats the Arab
version, which Israel has denied.
in a letter previously circulated.
Israel pinned responsibility for
precipitating the baffle on Jor-
4aIL troops.
