Robert Golden, son of Mr. and Mrs. Perce Golden, former Detroiters, now of Miami Beach, Fla., was one of a few outstand- ing students chosen to attend Florida Boys State, at Tallahassee, the state capitol. The Goldens, after meeting Robert in Talla- hassee, at the end of the sessions, left for Detroit. They will stay her as the guests of their sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. David Weisberg. Mrs. Sam Elkowitz, newly-elected president of East Side Chap- ter, Bnai Brith, honored her officers and board members at a recent luncheon at Kormendy's, at which plans for the coming year were discussed. Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Lezell, of this city, are leaving today for a month's visit in Europe. On their itinerary are stops in Israel, Rome, Paris and England. They were entertained extensively before their departure. Mr. and Mrs. Morris Lazaroff and children, Gary, Neil and Joyce, of St. Louis, Mo., have arrived here to celebrate the 40th anniversary of their parents and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Morris Friedman, of Whitcomb Ave., on Monday. Among the en- tertainments planned is a garden party at home of the Fried- man's children, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Cohen, of Lincoln or., Hunt- ington Woods, Mich. Besides the Lazaroffs and the Cohens, the Friedmans' four other children and grandchildren will be in attendance, among them Mr. and Mrs. Isadore Chaiken and Mir- iam and Rochelle; Mr. and Mrs. Leo Friedman and Susan Lynn, and Obbie and Lorraine Friedman, The Cohens, who will be hosts to the Lazaroffs during their stay here, have two children, Ken- neth and Rosann.
