UHS Holds Special
Classes for Girls
Two-day-a-week classes, in-
augurated for girls a few years
ago by the United Hebrew
Schools, will continue next fall
to provide young women "with a
more thorough and intensive
Jewish education than normally
received in the average Sunday
school, a UHS announcement
stated this week.
In these classes, girls are
trained to become future Jewish
mothers. They learn the cus-
toms and ceremonies of our peo-
ple, the role of the woman in
implementing those customs,
they are taught familiarity with
the prayer book, and given back-
ground on Jewish holidays and
their celebration in the home.
For information on these spe-
cial girls' classes, now available
in all seven branches of the
United Hebrew Schools, call the
main office, TO. 8-0063.
