A buffet supper party was recently tendered by Mr. and Mrs.
Joseph Beltzman, of 3253 Clements, in honor of their daughter
Sharon's sixteenth birthday. Among those attending were Ronnie
Moogerinan, Clare Kahn, Al Beltzman, Sharon's brother, Marilyn
Williams, Sheila Winer, Betty Winer, Seymour Warren, Laura
Melder, Pauline Roth, Allan Roth, Rosalyn Rosen, Stephen Spitz,
Carol Rosen, Steve Busker, Carol Bordorley, Paul Stark, Helen
,Fruchter, Jerry Foster, Bob Pittman, Herbert Finkel, Barbara Mal-
amud, Sheldon Weiner, Estelle Londer and Sheldon Goldsmith.
Sharon's host was Al Gall. A dinner party was given the follow-
-Mg day, at the family home for 150 relatives and friends.
Mr. and Mrs. Carl L. LeVane, of Verona Dr., Franklin Hills,
will leave June 27 for an 11-week tour of the world which will in-
clude stops in Hawaii, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Israel, and
Europe.
Mrs. Esther Cowan, formerly of Clements Ave., is now residing
on San Vincente Blvd., Los Angeles, Calif.
Open house will be held from 7 p.m. today, by Mrs. Julius D.
London, of 17591 Santa Rosa, in honor of the graduation of her
two sons from the University of Michigan, Berton from the school
of medicine, and Edmund from the school of architecture.
Arthur L. Fligman, of 1675 Atkinson, was one of 38 seniors to
receive the degree of Doctor of Optometry from the Chicago Col-
lege of Optometry on June 4. Dr. Fligman is married to the for-
mer Marcia Foulin, of Detroit, and the father of a one-year-old
daughter, Linda. He will begin practice in Michigan.
Moshe Heyman, of Glendale Avenue, is spending a month's
vacation in Israel visiting his family in Rishon-le-Zion. He will
spend some time in Italy, Switzerland and France before returning
to Detroit on July 4.
Herman Puder, of Cortland Avenue, left last week by air for
Israel together with his mother, Mrs. Ci]li Puder, to visit their
family in Kiryat Chaim, Israel.
Max Lipsitz returned to Israel on the SS Jerusalem last week
to rejoin his family in Bet Yitzhak, near Natanya. Mrs. Lipsitz will
return shortly to join her husband.
Mr. and Mrs. S. A. Gra.nadier, of 4044 Cortland, will be at home
from 8 to 12 p.m:, June 18, to honor their children, Jack and Janet
Silverstein.- Mr. Silverstein will graduate from Wayne University
MediCal School June 17. The couple will leave soon afterward to
make their home in Los Angeles, Calif.
Mr. and Mrs. Nat. L. Schwartz, of 16115 Forrer, will leave
next week for Seattle, Wash., where they will visit their son,
daughter-in-law and new grandchild, Dr. and Mrs. Lawrence H.
Schwartz and Karen Anne, for several weeks. They will return
home in July with Lt. and Mrs. Ellis Brownstein, their daughter
and son-in-law, and their daughter, Leslie Michelle, who will be
returning from Anchorage, Alaska, where Lt. Brownstein was sta-
tioned with the U.S. Army. -
Mr. and Mrs. A. C., Gappin and Mr. and Mrs. Morris Lieber-
man are among the Detroiters who have returned from recent
visits to Israel.
