Dora Ehrlich Honored for Communal
Services at Impressive Ceremonies

Scores of messages from local
and national leaders and acclaim
from a gathering of friends that
filled to capacity the social hall
of Cong. Shaarey Zedek served as
tributes to Dora Ehrlich, Tues-
day, when Hadassah honored her
for 50 years of communal serv-
ice.
Mrs. David deSola Pool, of
New York, national Hadassah
leader and chairman of the
Hebrew University-Hadassah
Medical School building fund,
spoke of Mrs. Ehrlich's pio-
neering efforts in the women's
Zionist movement as having
rendered magnificent service
in advancing the Zionist cause
and in aiding the medical ac-
tivities of Hadassah in the
Holy Land.
In honor of Mrs. Ehrlich's
services, Detroit Hadassah pre-
sented her with a certificate sig-
nifying that the Surgical Oper-
ating Theater of Hadassah's
Medical Center at Ein Karem,
Israel, will bear her name.

the main auditorium, with a

Rabbis A. M. Hershman and
Morris Adler gave the bene-
diction
ii and invocation. Mrs.
Louis Glaser, chairman of the
Hadassah - Hebrew University
building fund committee, pre-
sided. Mrs. Julius Chajes led in
the singing of the anthems.
Judge William Friedman
greeted Mrs. Ehrlich in behalf
of the 'Jewish Welfare Federa-
tion and the community at
large. Mrs. Ralph Davidson
presented her with a scroll in
behalf of Detroit Hadassah,
Mrs. Pool presented Mrs. Ehr-
lich with the Scroll signifying
the Ein Karem Hospital sur-
gical theater has been named
in her honor. Mrs. William B.
Isenberg, local Hadassah pres-
ident, joined in greeting Mrs.
Ehrlich.
Deeply moved by the honors
extended to her, Mrs. Ehrlich
heartily thanked her associates
and declared that the personal
joys and benefits derived from
her work for Israel, for Hadas-
sah, for the Jewish community
