The attacks' reached a high

revealed. The shootings are a
device to cover Arab peasants

added.
An Egyptian soldier, member

urgent Syrian cabinet meeting
devoted to a discussion of the

The Informational Media
Guaranty program is helping to
relieve a book shortage in Israel,
reports to the U.S. Information
Agency indicate. This program,
which is administered by the
Agency, provides for the conver-
sion into U.S. dollars of foreign
currencies received by American
publishers from the sale over-
seas of approved informational
materials.
According to Jaap Bar-David
of the. Bar David Literary Agen-
cy of Jerusalem, Israel, high Is-*

program which makes the im-
porting of color work in sheets
commercially feasible.
Mr. Bar-David, who recently
visited the United States seeking
rights to American books for
translation into Hebrew, told
Agency officials that the aver-

about 20. percent less in bulk
than the American edition. This
cuts paper costs.
