Sandra Marilyn Chernick, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry

Jean Goldman, who will marry Robert J. Kraus, son of Mrs.

Mr. and Mrs. Max Brose, of Cherrylawn Ave., gave a family
dinner party in their home, honoring their daughter, Roslyn, on
her recent engagement to Jack Medler. Out of town guests were
from Windsor and Flint.
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Goldberg, of 18437 Pennington, celebrated
their 25th wedding anniversary on Sunday. They presently are
on a trip to Miami Beach, Fla. and Havana, Cuba.

Discrimination in Religion

UNITED NATIONS, N.Y., April
12 (JTA) — The United States
proposed today, in a draft reso-
lution to the UN Human Rights
Commission on the future work
program of the Subcommission
on Prevention of Discrimination
and Protection of Minori-
tiesi that priority be given to a
study of discrimination in reli-
gion. Mrs. Oswald B. Lord, U.S.
delegate, offered the resolution
which would also eliminate a
study of discrimination in im-
migration proposed by the sub-
commission. The U.S. resolution
was supported by Rene Cassin
of France and Dennis Carayan-
nis of Greece.

get of $688,750 for the 1954-55
fiscal year was passed by the
Board of Directors of the Na-
tional Council of Jewish Women
at the concluding session of its
annual spring meeting in New
