Washington Registers Groups Seeking To Develop Oil Production in Israel WASHINGTON, (JTA) — The Securities and Exchange C o m - mission announced the filing of registration statements by com- mercial interests wishing to sell stock to finance the exploration, development and production of oil and gas in Israel. Pan-Israel Oil Co., of the Re- public of Panama, filed a state- m e n t seeking registration of American voting trust certifi- cates for 1,000,000 shares of com- mon capital stock, one percent, par to be offered for public sale "as a speculation." The company was organized under the Pan- ama corporation law for the purpose of seeking ant develop- ing gas and oil in Israel. The company has outstanding 4. 192,000 shares, of which 3,892,- 000 shares were issued to the so- called Buckley-Newkirk groups in exel-dage for the assignment to the company of licenses granted by the Petroleum Com- missioner of Israel for the ex- ' ploration and development o f certain petroleum interests in Israel.
