First glimpse of

EE D

• This is their first glimpse of freedom ... most
wonderful of moments.
They have come to Israel the way America's
settlers came—to put fear, hunger, and homeless-
ness behind them. They have come to find liberty,
opportunity, and a chance to live in peace.
You share this moment with them ... for your
support of the United Jewish Appeal helped make
it happen.
But today, there are those who still wait in
lands of darkness and despair. They, too, yearn
for the day they can stand on the deck of a ship in

— In Detroit —

Haifa Bay, or look from the window of a rescue
plane, showing freedom to their children.
This year many more men, -women and chil-
dren must be aided to reach thi's land of hope.
You can help—by giving to UJA. Through UJA you
can 'help also in the building of new homes, new
settlements, the growing of more food.
To aid nearly half a million persons in Israel
and other lands, to help those who must reach free-
dom, to help Israel's people attain economic free-
dom—give to the United Jewish Appeal.
Give generously today.
