Hearty Dave 'frown Message
Editor, The Jewish News:
From New York, Detroit, Yonk-
ers, Morristown, Los Angeles
came a flood of inquiries as to
the reason which prevented me
from attending the George Stark
function.
Not only The Jewish News
item, but the grapevine passed
it along and the end is not yet
in sight. As The Jewish News
was the only publication that
mentioned my sudden illness,
the credit is all yours. Congrat-
ulations on having such a wide
distribution.
My wire to Luke Leonard stat-
ed. that my burn knee, due to an
accident, was undergoing X-Ray
treatments and I was advised
to stay put for a while. I thought
the advice was good. Otherwise
I am in very good health.

Seeks Names- of Israeli Dead
Editor, Jewish News:
During the first week in May,
a Memorial Forest will be plant-
ed in the Jerusalem Corridor,
dedicated to the memory of
American volunteers who fell in
Israel's War of Independence.
On the site of this Memorial
will stand a plaque, listing the
names of thoSe who gave their
lives for the cause.
We wish to pay tribute to all
of our comrades-in-arms. Un-
fortunately, our list of names of
those who fell is incomplete. We
therefore request that any per-
son knowing the names of
Americans killed in Israel's con-
flict send such names and oth-
er pertinent information (ad-
dresses, and names and address-
es of nearest of kin) to our or-
ganization for inclusion in this
Memorial and in the History of
the Jews.

various branches who will con-
duct the model Sedorim in each
school. The guide is available
to the public, and may be ob-
tained from the Schools.

ater, has bought a play by

median," in which Leo will star

Two lodges, like The one above sketched by an architect, will
be available for community campers this summer, enabling accom-
modation of an additional 240 youngsters at Camp Tamarack,
Ortonville, Mich. In the fall, construction will begin on year-round
winterized cabins. Whereas last summer, the camp had facilities
for 42 girls in one village, this summer there will be three villages
of 42 campers each. Boys 12 to 14 and girls 11 to 14 will be ac-
cepted. Lodges, like the one above, provide laundry, sanitation,
dining and recreational facilities. For information on the overall
Center camping program, call the Fresh Air Society, TR. 5-8450...
