We call upon you, once more, in connection with
our traditional Purim activities on behalf of the Jewish
National Fund.
The spirit of this joyous holiday which has been,
throughout our history, the enobling symbol of giving
"Mishloach Monos" — Purim gifts — and in recent
decades has been dedicated to the Keren Kayemeth, as-
sumes even greater significance this year.
The Jewish National Fund has been of inestimable
value in the great process of transplantation from the
lands of dispersion to the Jewish homeland. It has
added millions of dunams of land to the possession of
the Jewish people in Israel. It has cultivated the soil;
planted trees. terraced the mountainsides; irrigated the
desert; drained the swamps. It has restored the land
without a people to the people without a land. But much
more remains to be done in Israel.
