Resettlement Service
To Aid Nazi Victims

Jewish victims of Nazi per-
secution wishing to file claims
against' the West German gov-
ernment will be aided by Re- -
settlement Service in complet-
ing applications, according to
David I. Rosin, president of the
agency.
"These claims can be filed
under a law passed by the Bonn
Parliament on Sept. 18, 1953,"
Rosin stated. "They apply. to
those who suffered damage to
limb, health, liberty or economic
advancement at the hands of
the Nazis. and to the• heirs of
victims who died as a result of
Nazi persecution." .
Resettlement . Service will as-
sist claimants whose incomes
are below a set maximum or
whose claims are under 5,000
Deutsche Marks. Others may
employ private attorneys. Po-
tential claimants should call

Taylor, niece of Mr. and Mrs.
Edward A. Horowitz, became the
bride of Walter Gordon. The
bride's gown was of champagne
Chantilly lace with long, point-
ed sleeves. Her shoulder-length
veil of illusion was fastened to
a cap of lace, edged with seed
pearls. Mrs. Minnie Rabinowitz,
the bride's aunt, was matron of
honor, and Diane Schwartz was
maid of honor. The bridegroom's
brother-in-law, Lester Kaufman,
was best man. Following dinner
and a reception, the newlyweds
left for a Miami honeymoon. On
their return they are residing
on Votrobeck Dr. Out-of-town
guests were from New York and
Chicago. -

In a recent ceremony at Adas
Shalom Synagogue, Beverly
Weingarden, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Meyer Weingarden, of
Monica Ave., was united in mar-
riage to Lester Zeff, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Irving Zeff, of Oak-
man Blvd. Rabbis Jacob Segal,
Morris Adler and A. M. Hersh-
man officiated.
The bride wore a gown of
katow satin with tiny appliques
of Chantilly lace forming a por-
trait neckline and highlighting
the fitted bodice and long
sleeves. Her bouffant skirt fell
into a formal train of the satin
and lace. The three-tiered veil
was of silk illusion and of fin-
gertip " length, falling from a
crown of orange blossoms. She
carried a cascade of white or-
chids.
Mrs. Sidney Barak, the bride's
sister, was matron of honor, and
bridesmaids were Mrs. Fred Gar-
con, Mrs. Leonard Trunsky, Mrs.
James Bittker and Diana Fish-
man.
Dr. Allen Zeff was his broth-
er's best man, and ushers in-
cluded Marvin Gross, Arnold
Zeff, Bob Zeff and Leonard
Trunsky.
Following dinner and a recep-
tion, the couple left for a honey-
moon in Bermuda. They are, now
residing in Ann Arbor where Mr.
Zeff is a student at University
of Michigan Dental School and
is affiliated with Alpha Omega
fraternity.

Plans Fine Arts Event

South Oakland County Group
of Hadassah will celebrate the
Jewish Music Festival with a
program on Tuesday, in the First
Methodist Church, .302 W. 7th
St., Royal Oak.
The event will be devoted to
a study of literature, music, art
and drama, and will feature
Joan Freeman as guest artist.
Miss .Freeman, a concert pia-
nist, has appeared with the De-
troit, Boston Pops and Israel
Symphony Orchestras.
Mary Silber will speak on the
"Evolution of Jewish Music,"
several thumb-nail sketches on
contemporary art will be, offered
and an art exhibit from Gare-
lick Gallery will be presented.
The meeting, which is open to
friends, will open at 12:30 p.m>
A social hour will follow the aft-

ranged a special program for

from Israel, "Land of Faith,"
will be shown for the first time
in Detroit, and a guest speaker
will review events and develop-
