Announce Reorganization of Music Study Club's Miss Rosin Engaged

T h e reorganization of the
Music Study Club's Dora and
Julius Green Fund for Music
in Israel under the chairman-
ship of Mrs. Jerome Blum, was
announced this week by the or-
ganization's presiden t, Mrs.
Joseph Markel.
The Green Fund, which has
forwarded much needed musical
equipment to Israel, also will be
served by Mesdames Julius Cha-
jes, advisor; Allan J. S i 1 b e r,
secretary; Max Reich, treasurer;
Maurice B. Benyas, A. R. Brasch,
Sol Q. Kesler, Bernard Lachs
and Arthur S. Purdy.
Current plans call for the for-
warding of a tape recorder to
the YM-YWHA in Jerusalem, a
violin to a talented youth in a
maabara near Haifa and music

Ernest Bloch, for Hebrew Uni-
versity in anticipation of the

Other music, on records re-
leased by the Detroit Symphony
Orchestra, recordings from the
collection of J. Dorsey Callag-
han, Free Press music critic, and
choral arrangements, also have
been sent to Israel institutions,
including the Kol Israel Broad-
casting Station.
Other projects of the Music
Study Club are a scholarship
committee, chaired by Mrs.
Jacob S. Sauls; philanthropic
committee, Mrs. Henry Wein-
berg; chairman; and the Gwla-
dis Luloff scholarship f u n d,
chaired by Mrs. Ira G. Kaufman,
Women in the community in-
terested in music and in. aiding
