Young Marrieds Honor

A "Little Institute on Juda-
ism will be sponsored jointly by
Pisgah Lodge and Chapter, Bnai
Brith, at 8:30 p.m., Monday, at
Adas Shalom Synagogue.
Patterned after the national
Bnai Brith Institute, the pro-
gram will feature Rabbis Morris
Adler, Leon Fram and Max J.
Wohlgelernter. Cantor Nicholas
Fenakel will offer a musical pro-
gram.
There is no admission charge,
and the public is invited.

Many communal events will ,
mark the celebration of Broth-1
erhood Week, commencing Sun- ,
day.
Two interesting functions are
planned in honor of the chair-
man of this years Brotherhood
Week observance in Michigan,
George Wa,shil gton Stark, on
the occasion of his 70th birth-
day, on Monday: A breakfast at
the Statler, arranged by the
Irish Fellowship Club, under the
leadership of Luke Leonard,
with the eminent former. De-
troiter, David A. Brown, now of
Berkley, Calif., as guest of hon-
or. Msgr. Hickey will be toast-
master. Rabbi Leon Fram will
be one of the religious spokes-
men.
Monday night, Mr. Stark will
be honored at a testimonial
dinner at the Fort Shelby Ho-

Dr. Tillich to Give
Next Franklin Talk

Dr. Paul Tillich of the Union
Theological Seminar y, New
York, will be the second speaker
in Wayne University's 1953-54
series of "Leo M. Franklin Lec-
tures in Human Relations" at
Wayne University, Sunday, Feb.
28, 7 p.m., in Room 101, State
Hall. Dr. Tillich will discuss
"Existential Analyses and Reli-
gious Symbols."
Born in Prussia, Dr. Tillich
studied at several European in-
stitutions including the Univer-
sity of Breslau in 1911.
Since 1933, he has been pro-
fessor of theology at Union
Theological Seminary.

leader of Boston's Cong. Mish-
kin Tefila, the oldest Conser-
vative Synagogue in New Eng-
land, will be the guest of Beth
Aaron Synagogue, a n d will
preach the sermon at sabbath
morning services on Saturday.
Dr. Kazis, Conservative rabbi,
who has lectured before Jewish
and non - Jewish audiences
throughout the United States, is
a brother-in-law of Beth Aar-
on's spiritual leader, Rabbi Ben-.
jamin H. Gorrelick, and is visit-
ing Detroit to attend the Bar
Mitzvah celebration of his niece,
