UHS Auxiliary to Host Dr. Ben Ginsburg
Gets Professorship

The Women's Auxiliary of the

United Hebrew Schools will serve
as hostesses to members of
Parent - Teacher Organizations
throughout the city at a dessert
luncheon and program, sched-
uled for 12:30 p.m., Wednesday,
in the Rose Sittig Cohen Bldg.

Highlight of the afternoon
will be a book review by Mrs.
Gertrude Oberstein of Phinn E.
Lapide's remarkable story "The
Prophet of San Nicandro." Por-
tions of the book will be drama-
tized by Mesdames Robert Green-
berg and Milford Pregerson.
Mrs. Sol Slomovitz, accompa-
nied at the piano by Mrs. George
Bassin, will entertain with a se-
lection of Yiddish songs.
Mrs. Meyer Finkel, member-
ship chairman, announces that
several new members have been
signed up during the group's
membership drive. They will aid
in promoting the Auxiliary's goal
of furthering the cause of Jewish
education- through the United
Hebrew Schools.
Mrs. Jacob Axelrod, president,
announces that currently plans
are being made for a president's
day luncheon, to be held in April.

Bereznitzer Games Party
Mrs. Freda Eizelman, chair-
man of the 21st annual games
party sponsored by the Berez-
i nitzer Aid Society, announces
that the event will be held on
Wednesday evening, at Berez-
nitzer Hall, Davison and Lin-
wood. Members are urged to
bring their friends.

Dr. Benson Ginsburg, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Morris Ginsburg
of Mack Ave., has been appoint-
ed to a full professorship at the
University of Chicago.

Dr. Ginsburgi

ed himself in Dr. Ginsburg
education and research. He was
instrumental in developing a

riculum now used at the Univer-
sity, and serves as its chairman.
He has contributed articles to
numerous research publications
dealing with the problem of in-
herited nervous a n d mental
disorders.
Each summer, Prof. Ginsburg
does research at the Jackson
Memorial Laboratory in Bar
Harbor, Me., with Dr. Clarence
Cook Little, who considers him
one of the outstanding young
scientists in this country. At 35,
Dr. Ginsburg is one of the youn-
gest full professors at the Uni-
versity.

"American Jewish Youth:
What Should Be Its Relation-
ship to Israel?" will be the theme
of the first Jewish Youth Assem-
bly for Israel, Sunday, Feb. 28,
at the Davison Jewish Center.
The assembly will open with
a brunch at 11 arm. Sunday, and
close with a plenary session at
2:30 p.m. An invitation has
been extended to all youth
organizations having members
within the age level of 15 to 21.
Among those who have indicat-
ed their intention to participate
in the deliberations are Shaarey
Zedek Junior Congregation and
L.T.F., Adas Shalom Youth,
B.B.Y.O., Hashomir Hatzair, Ha-
bonim, Young Israel, Bnei Aki-
va, Wayne University Chapter ,
of Hillel, Young Judea, Junior

The speakers at the sessions
